TV: Make A Date With ITV2

ITV2 has commissioned a new series that follows the search for real love and the realities of dating.

Three, produced by Studio Lambert, is a new series in which three single women of different ages, life experiences and backgrounds meet for the first time with a common goal— to find true love. As they search for a partner, they will share their lives and emotionally support one another during the dating and decision-making process.

The eight part series hosted by Emma Willis will offer an exciting twist as our singletons face a host of make or break decisions. At the end of each episode, the three girls and their ‘dates’ will decide if they wish to continue seeing each other, but the feeling has to be mutual. Will this be a match made in heaven or just another dating disaster?

The new series will kick-start with an audition in which a hundred men from all over the country ‘pitch’ themselves to the three women. Each of the women will have to select six men who they would like to ‘date’ but the pressure is on as they will have only a few minutes to decide if they would like to get to know them further but will the men feel the same way?

Each week, viewers will follow our singletons as together they embark on a series of dating scenarios with their potential suitors. The series will follow their preparations, nerves and trepidation as they get to know more about the men they have chosen.

With their fate placed firmly in their hands, each episode will culminate with an elimination as their ‘dates’ are whittled down until they have just one decision to make…. will our three single ladies finally meet their Mr Right or will they be left out in the cold?

Emma Willis said, “'I am beyond thrilled to be a part of 'Three'. I love to watch a good romance blossom, so to be asked to be a part of that process is genuinely exciting.”

Angela Jain Director of Digital Channels and Acquisitions at ITV said, ““Three has already proven itself to be a hit format. Showing the emotional highs and lows of finding the partner of your dreams coupled with Emma Willis in the role as a confidante for these three girls will I hope, make this an unmissable show for ITV2.”

Stephen Lambert, Chief Executive of Studio Lambert said “Three is a relationship show that won’t perpetuate a fairy tale myth about dating. Without any typical game play, it intimately documents the search for love and the reality of dating — the anticipation, the excitement, the rejection. Along the way, we'll see personalities who are real, and flawed and simply human."

Three is a Studio Lambert production for ITV2. Three was ordered for ITV2 by Angela Jain, Director of Digital Channels and Acquisitions at ITV. It was commissioned by Kate Maddigan, Commissioner, Entertainment at ITV. Executive producer is Tania Alexander of Studio Lambert.

The series is an original format by Keshet Broadcasting Ltd. ("Homeland"), based on a program originally produced by Kastina Productions which became Israel's biggest launch of a new reality show in four years when it premiered there last summer. It ranked as the #1 program among all shows in five of the eight weeks it aired, while the series finale was the highest-rated non-live reality program since Israeli ratings began in 1999. An America version of the format will launch on US television this summer on the CBS network.
