NWA Welcomes Inspire Pro
Monday, May 26, 2014
The National Wrestling Alliance announced its newest promotion, Austin, Texas-based Inspire Pro Wrestling. The announcement was made by NWA CEO Chris Ronquillo on Sunday, May 25 at Inspire Pro’s “In Their Blood” event following a title defense by NWA Women’s World Champion Barbi Hayden.
Inspire Pro was founded in July 2013 by Justin Bissonnette, Joshua Montgomery and Max Meehan, with the simple mission of providing quality professional wrestling to the Austin, Texas fan base. They have attempted to achieve that mission by providing the top, up and coming stars of Texas a platform in which to showcase their abilities against the best from across the country. They have brought in top level talents such as world traveled competitor Chris Hero, as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling's Takaaki Watanabe on multiple occasions. Their most recent event in the month of April featured talents representing three major professional wrestling companies in Japan, a fact that Inspire Pro takes a great deal of pride in saying.
In less than a year’s time, they have generated buzz and excitement through their live events held at the Marchesa Hall & Theater, as well as through their full events being viewed on their YouTube channel, generating thousands of views. With their one year anniversary not far away, Inspire Pro Wrestling is continually expanding and reaching beyond Austin, Texas. And, with their brand new partnership with the National Wrestling Alliance, they are sure to expand even further.
