The Voice of Greece - The Blind Auditions S02E02 - Kostas Ageris sings I lost my fatherland
So in Greece they have their version of The Voice.
Much like in England and the US it is usually filled with people singing pop songs etc.
This man Κώστας Αγέρης (Kostas Ageris) instead sang a traditional song of the Pontian people called Tην πατρίδα μου έχασα (I lost my fatherland), a song about the Pontians who were kicked out of their homes in what is now Turkey. They lived in the region of Pontus, on the shores of Turkey's Black Sea from 700 BC until 1922.
Sometimes someone can surprise you and amaze you.
Fantastic
