Travel Man: 48 Hours in Barcelona, Monday 30th March, 8.30pm, Channel 4

Monday 30th March, 8.30pm, Channel 4

In the first episode of this new four-part series, Richard Ayoade is joined by actor Kathy Burke on a ruthlessly efficient weekend away in Barcelona. In just 48 hours, he reveals everything this top tourist destination has to offer - from its famous art galleries and bafflingly popular football stadiums, to wild new culinary trends and long sandy beaches. The fastest way to get to know a place is, apparently, through your stomach. So, Travel Man books a table at a posh 'clandestine' restaurant, where the pair sample adventurous cuisine including liquid olives, potatoes coated with edible clay, and puddings that look like sausages. There is also a tasting session of Barcelona's favourite drink, Cava. After a few glasses the session descends, inevitably, into disarray. Other highlights include a visit to the massive Barcelona Football Club museum; a guided tricycle tour of the city's streets; and a trip to see the surrealist work of famous Catalan artist Joan Miro
