The Long Song - Interview with Andrea Levy

The Long Song (3x60) was commissioned by Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama, and Charlotte Moore, Director of BBC Content.

Adapted by Sarah Williams and directed by Mahalia Belo, it has been produced by Heyday Television, a joint venture with NBC Universal International Studios, for BBC One. Executive Producers are David Heyman and Rosie Alison for Heyday Television, Ben Irving for BBC One, and Tom Coan for NBC Universal International, alongside Andrea Levy and Sarah Williams. Roopesh Parekh is Producer and the series will be distributed by NBC Universal International Distribution. Filming took place in the Dominican Republic.

The Long Song novel was shortlisted for the 2010 Man Booker Prize and longlisted for the 2010 Orange Prize. It was the recipient of the 2011 Walter Scott Prize.
