Powerful, Harrowing Human-Trafficking Thriller CARGA Arrives on DVD/VOD this March


Synopsis: 
A truck driver tormented by the load he carries. A road that should lead to a better life. Human beings treated as goods for selling... In a capitalist society where each person focuses on their own needs, it is easy to forget about those around us and only do what is best for each of us. This is the story of Viktoriya, a young woman who throws everything away in search of a better life. From the moment the doors of the truck where she travels open up, Viktoriya is confronted with the cruel reality of human trafficking. Can she escape her fate?



Director Bruno Gascon
Bruno Gascon, a film director based in Portugal, has been pursuing the dream of making his scripts turned into movies.

After living and studying in SAE Amsterdam, where he moved after a family tragedy that made him channel all his emotions into writing and cinema studies, Bruno returned to Portugal and has also been working with national TV as Director on social and cultural documentaries.

In 2014, after his return, he wrote and directed the short film “Boy” that won several awards, including the 2015 Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival. In 2015, “Vazio”, another short that he wrote and directed, was showcased at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival, and afterwards traveled the world to several other festivals. In 2018, he wrote and directed “Carga”, his first feature length film.
