With the UK population in lockdown, Peter Crouch, Chris Stark and Tom Fordyce have announced the swift return of their podcast.

Recording from their own homes, the boys will be #BackStronger, releasing two episodes every week on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Peter Crouch says: “Normally, we’d have a few months off between series. But these aren’t normal times, as me currently acting as my children’s maths teacher indicates… so we’re pulling our fingers out and recording series four of the podcast from our separate homes. I’ll be plugging in devices I don’t understand and hoping they work. If nothing else, it’s got to be better than me teaching maths.”

As well as the usual football chat and insights, Peter, Chris and Tom will share what’s been keeping them occupied whilst in self-isolation.

This week, Crouch discusses re-discovering the vast collection of football shirts that he’s acquired throughout his career. Each Wednesday starting next week, Crouch will wear one shirt of particular significance and share the story and context behind it. Listeners can expect windows into big moments and players from his career, as well as the usual conversational tangents. These episodes will also feature listener questions for Crouch, as well as ongoing chats about their day-to-days in self-isolation.

On Fridays, the boys are set to be joined by special guests from the footballing world. Last series saw Premier League referee Mike Dean guest in a one-off episode, as well as contributions from the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Lucy Benjamin and Lloyd Grossman during the series finale Parched special.

That Peter Crouch Podcast is Back Stronger for series 3

One of the most popular podcasts in the UK, That Peter Crouch Podcast is officially #BackStronger for a third series.

In a special, one-off episode released today, Peter Crouch, Tom Fordyce and Chris Stark announced that they will return to BBC Sounds and Radio 5 live for a new series from 1 January 2020.

New episodes will then be available each week on BBC Sounds, BBC Radio 5 live and podcast platforms everywhere.

Listeners can expect more insights into life as a professional footballer, more laughs and chat than ever before.

Ex-England and Premier League footballer, Peter Crouch is of course at the centre of the huge BBC podcast.

Speaking about the incredible demand for the podcast’s return, he says: “Every morning I look at my phone and see loads of angry tweets and messages from people demanding that we bring the podcast back. And I mean really angry too - almost threatening, in a nice sort of way. For a podcast which basically involves me sitting in a pub with Tom and Chris and talking about football, there seem to be an enormous number of people who are listening.”

“I’m a lucky man. I’ve been able to spend most of my life doing something that is massive fun. But the pod is something else entirely. It’s my favourite part of the week. 18 months ago I didn’t even know what a podcast was. You could probably tell. Now I can’t wait to get started again, and I can’t wait for people to hear it. In today’s one-off That Planning Meeting, the boys come up with a plan to hijack New Year’s Eve celebrations and invent the first ever ‘Podmanay’. Elsewhere, Chris, who has clearly taken over advertising responsibilities for the new season, needs access to as many toilets as possible.

Series two ended with Crouchfest; a mini-festival at London’s indigo at the O2. The sold out Crouchfest saw guest performances and appearances from the likes of Liam Gallagher, Tom Grennan and You Me At Six.

That Peter Crouch Podcast has amassed a huge following since its debut in September 2018 including celebrity fans such as Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams and James McAvoy. Since it began, the podcast has been awarded a British Podcast Award, run a festival, and taken Dev from Coronation Street to a curry house in Ealing.

That Peter Crouch Podcast scores second run

Footballing legend Peter Crouch is one of the sport’s funniest personalities and now he has one of the biggest podcasts in the country.

Crouch, who recently signed for Burnley and has played for Liverpool and Spurs among others as well as winning 42 caps for England, has now scored a second series of his hit podcast.

That Peter Crouch Podcast returns this month after becoming the BBC’s biggest sports podcast and the biggest ever podcast launch for BBC Radio 5 live. It’s a bigger phenomenon than Peter’s robot dance was way back in 2006. Series two starts with two episodes on 20 March and a new episode will be available each Wednesday for ten weeks.

For fans who can’t wait for the new series, a new episode, called That Bonus Episode, is available today on BBC Sounds. Chris finally makes good on the bet he lost with Peter in series one. Plus, we find out what happened when Crouchy took on the rest of the dads at the school sports day.
