NWA Worlds Champion Nick Aldis on Fox 46 Good Day Charlotte | 2018

Nick Aldis joined Fox 46's Good Day Charlotte on Sunday to talk about the NWA Worlds Champion's Aldis Crusade with Ten Pounds of Gold.   The night before, Nick Aldis successfully defended the famous Ten Pounds of Gold and was up at 8am to talk with Fox 46's Howard Monroe. 

The Aldis Crusade with Ten Pounds of Gold continues this coming weekend at Tried N True Pro Wrestling in Clarksville, TN, later this month with Tommy Dreamer's House of Hardcore and then in China.

NWA has invaded Indianapolis - Welcome NWA Circle City Wrestling

It is official, The National Wrestling Alliance has added another affiliate out of Indiana. We would like to formally welcome NWA Circle City Wrestling to the family. The NWA reached out to NWA Circle City's owner and received the following statement:

"It is a good feeling that Circle City Wrestling is now NWA Circle City Wrestling and I plan to bring some of the finest wrestlers from within the NWA Circuit and across the country for many events to come. NWA Circle City Wrestling promises to bring the best of the best every event and I will just say that "You haven't seen everything just yet" so yes it will be a good feeling to open the events up as NWA Circle City  Wrestling."

Here is a small Bio for those who are not familiar with NWA Circle City Wrestling:
Circle City Wrestling originated in the early 1990's under the direction and promotion of Mike Samples. Circle City Wrestling THEN has brought in some "legends" that you might know today featuring "Doomsday" which is now KANE on WWE and Al Snow, also seen talent such as "Hustler" Rip Rogers and Flash Flanagan before its departure in 1998.

Then in the early 2000's Circle City Wrestling came back under a new, fresh production team  under the direction of "Showtime" Steve Branam and then dominated the area with stars that you see currently today such as ABYSS and Chris Hero for it's local Indianapolis television tapings.

NOW it's 2015 and Circle City with it's history and success is back under the direction and promotion of Rob Kincaid and has several events scheduled for the 2015/2016 calendar.
The NWA looks forward to expanding into other areas very soon.

NWA Smoky Mountain Newswire: Jax Dane Wins Cup, Faces Conway May 9!

"Godzilla" Jax Dane is on a rampage through the National Wrestling Alliance, and it continued this past Friday when he won the 2015 Smoky Mountain Cup.

Dane emerged victorious in NWA Smoky Mountain's signature event of the year, a grueling one-night, 12-man tournament with the winner earning a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title. Dane's Cup win came just six days after he defeated Tim Storm to unify the NWA North American and National Titles.

This powerhouse has one goal: to become the first National Wrestling Alliance Triple Crown Champion. Dane already has completed two-thirds of that triple crown, and now he has a guaranteed shot at the "10 pounds of gold", currently held by New Japan star Hiroyoshi Tenzan.

As Dane awaits the right moment to take his shot at Tenzan, he has another huge match confirmed. He'll make his return to NWA Smoky Mountain on Saturday, May 9, where he faces Rob Conway as part of Collision Course 10 from the Civic Auditorium in Kingsport, TN!

Dane and Conway know each other quite well. Together as the IronGodz, they won the NWA World Tag Team Titles in late 2013 and competed in the New Japan World Tag League on two separate occasions. Conway, a former two-time NWA World Champion himself, has been a mentor and great friend to Dane but this is the first time they've ever faced each other one on one! Will "Godzilla" continue his march of dominance through the NWA? Or will the "Iron Man" get the best of Dane?

This is the latest addition to the all-star spectacular that is Collision Course 10. This event is topped by a huge double main event, featuring Jason Kincaid defending the NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Title against John Morrison, while IWGP Heavyweight Champ AJ Styles battles Chase Owens in a non-title showdown!

NWA Wrestling Summer Clash stars to appear at Anti Bullying Rally at Bryant Boys & Girls Club

Currently bullying of children by other children has become a national social conversation.  The Professional Wrestling Stars of the NWA Summer Clash are coming to the Bryant Boys & Girls Club tomorrow to talk to the kids about how to cope with bullies, how to avoid bully behavior and what to do when they see bullying taking place.

NWA Wrestling Stars participating in the rally include Matt Riviera, Jon “Action” Jackson, Matt Justice and NWA North American Heavyweight Champion Byron Wilcott.  At the rally the NWA stars will be distributing free tickets to the kids in attendance for their upcoming NWA Summer Clash slated for Friday July 4th 7:00pm at the Saline County Fairgrounds in Benton, AR.

NWA Welcomes Bayou Independent Wrestling

The National Wrestling Alliance has announced the addition of Bayou Independent Wrestling and its promoter Josh Newell.

"We are pleased to add a quality promoter like Josh Newell to the National Wrestling Alliance,” said NWA CEO Chris Ronquillo. “NWA-BIW is a quality promotion and a great fit that rounds out our Louisiana coverage."

Bayou Independent Wrestling, established in 2007, will hold its first event as a licensed NWA promotion on May 24 at the West Monroe Convention Center. NWA-BIW Southern Champion Steve Anthony will defend his title against former NWA National Heavyweight Champion Vordell Walker in an “I Quit” match.

"I am very excited to join the NWA,” said Newell. “I see promotions like NWA Houston, NWA Smoky Mountain and NWA Branded Outlaw Wrestling, among others, all doing great things for the business across the board and that's what BIW has always been about. We respect and appreciate the fans, so we always make sure we work hard for their appreciation. With those three very special letters added to our name we will now try to push the bar even higher than we have already set it for ourselves."

The National Wrestling Alliance has named James Beard to the position of Director of Talent Relations. Beard, a 2013 Texas Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee, is a 30-year veteran in professional wrestling both in the United States and abroad, both in the ring as a referee and behind the scenes as a television writer, creative consultant, booker, talent agent and promoter.

“I am excited about the opportunity,” Beard said, “and look forward to working with the great NWA talent and promoters. I hope to bring about a more inclusive and helpful working relationship between all those who represent the NWA, both in the ring and in management.”

Working for well-known organizations such as World Class, USWA, SWS-WWF (Japan), GWF, NOW (Japan), NWA, Big Japan, CWF and many other promotions, Beard established a reputation as someone who is capable of handling talent relations and dealing with a variety of promotional issues, creative direction and television production.

A veteran of over 50 international tours around the world, Beard spent time working as a regular employee of three different Japanese companies, something no other foreign referee has ever done to this date. As a trusted talent booking agent/scout, his influence there helped introduce many American wrestlers to Japan for the first time.

In the past year, Beard has spent time working on TCW TV tapings and has been actively involved in working with NWA promotions as referee and as an advisor of creative direction.

He has recently released a book that includes stories from his career, an in-depth look at the World Class organization's rise and fall and the Von Erich family as well as an extensive and detailed explanation of the referee role. The book also features chapters about his relationships with some of the well known individuals that he has worked with and known in a long, multi-faceted career in Professional Wrestling.

"The NWA welcomes the official addition of James Beard to the team,” NWA President Bruce Tharpe said. “His extensive wrestling experience in the United States and Japan speaks for itself and we have found James to have the highest character and business integrity.
